RB Brandon Jacobs to Miss Showdown With Cowboys - 12/12/2008 Source: Associated Press RB Brandon Jacobs will miss this Sunday's showdown with the division rival Cowboys. Derrick Ward and Ahmad Bradshaw will split the carries in his absence, with either 2nd year RB Danny Ware or vet Reuben Droughns to be the 3rd string running back. Fantasy Impact: Ward and Bradshaw are very capable in their own right, but picking one to have a fantasy impact this week (in what is a playoff week for most of you) would be like flipping a coin. If I had to guess, and thankfully I don't, I'd go with Derrick Ward. |

At least that's what he said. Fantasy Impact: If he is telling the truth, don't shift him on your charts. Move Ward down though, since he may have trouble getting more time now with his foot. |

Giants shuffle players as injuries hit offensive line, backfield (AP) - 08/07/2006 Source: Yahoo!, AM New York, Newsday The New York Giants have gone from healthy to hobbled in less than two weeks of training camp. Missing from practice Monday were linebacker LaVar Arrington (knee swelling), running back Derrick Ward (broken foot), guard Chris Snee (knee), and defensive tackle William Joseph (leg bruise). Move all the Giants down until they get healthy. |
